I died multiple times on both escape sequences, which is extra brutal since on both occasions you have lots of conversations, unskipable cut scenes, and boss fights to repeat before you get to try the escape again. Also: fucking hell, the escape sequences in this game are terrible. Though it plays a bit slow due to the character's run/walk speed. I'm happy to report that I -just- managed to beat it after about 12 hours (Played mostly during two flights between Vancouver and Montreal) on my psp.Īll in all: great game that holds up well even today. It's got some great names in the list of developers (Sakaguchi, Nomura, Tokita, and Shimomura being the ones I'm most familiar with). Well during the recent PSN anniversary sale, I picked it for $2.99 CAD, along with some other gems for around the same price. Parasite Eve is one of those PS1 games I've always between interested in, but it came out at a time where I was too busy and too much of a broke high school student to get around to -every- game that caught my eye.
